Como ya os decía por mi página de Facebook,
estaba pensando en expandir mi blog y añadir entradas de cosas que podemos
hacer en casa, entradas de outfits, videos de peinados etc. Como las respuestas
han sido muy positivas, hoy vengo a hacer precisamente eso y mostraros mi
primer "hazlo tu misma" (HTM). Se trata de unos shorts veraniegos que
he hecho aprovechando unos pantalones muy anchos y rectos que tenia por ahí.
Espero que os vaya gustar y espero vuestros comentarios acerca de este
"plan de expansión" que tengo con mi blog.
As I was telling you on my Facebook page, I was thinking about expanding my blog and adding some new sections to it like "do it yourself"s, outfits, hairstyles etc. The response was very positive so today I'll start doing just that and bring you my first do it yourself (DIY). I'll show you how to transform some old very large jeans into perfect summery shorts. I hope you'll find it useful and I do hope you'll leave your opinion regarding this "expansion plan" I have for my blog.
Marcamos con un lápiz blanco (yo utilicé mi jumbo de NYX), trazando una línea recta, justamente encima de las rodillas.
We mark with a white pencil (I used my NYX jumbo), drawing a straight line, just on top of the kneels.

Cortamos con cuidado con una tijera.
Cut carefully straight across with a pair of scissors.

Empezamos a enrollar, más o menos en tiras dos dedos de anchas.
We start rolling our leg at about two fingers in width.

Después de enrollar la pierna del pantalón, tenemos que coser los laterales para que se queden fijos. No sabes cómo? Pues es muy fácil. Nos guiamos por las costuras ya existentes y por la esquema que os he hecho arriba: empezamos sacando la aguja de por debajo (*1*), yendo a meter la aguja hacia la derecha a una distancia de aprox 5mm (*2*) y sacando la aguja por la izquierda a una distancia de 10mm (*3*). Repetimos el proceso hasta conseguir una costura bonita y al final, antes de cortar el hilo, le hacemos un nudo. Cosemos los laterales y entre piernas.
After rolling the leg we have to sew the sides of the leg to keep them in place. You don't know how? Well, that's easy, all we have to do is guide ourselves by the sewing that's already there and by the scheme I drew in the image above: pull the needle from bellow (*1*), and insert it 5mm to the right (*2*); pull the needle from bellow at a distance of aprox 10mm (*3*). We repeat the process until we get a nice sewing and in the end, before we cut the thread, make sure to make a knot. do that with all the sides and between the legs.
Y listo! Fácil verdad?! Asegúrate utilizar unos pantalones hechos de una tela muy suave, no gruesa para poder coserlos. Al final pasas la plancha por encima de ellos y listo.
And you are done! Really easy, isn't it?! Just make sure to use pants made out of a very thin material so you'll be able to sew them. Finish by ironing them and you're done.
